Poker is one of the most well known card games. There are computer games and online poker games available for everyone. These games make it easier for people, anywhere they may be, to learn an appreciate poker. These days, poker is so widespread that there are already so many variations of it available. Horse poker is one variation that is slowly getting its spot in the limelight. Horse poker is actually 5 types of poker in one. H.O.R.S.E poker actually means: H for Hold em or Texas Hold em, O for Omaha, R for Razz, S for Seven-card Study High and E mean Eight or better. This game is also known as mixed poker because of the mixture of poker variations.

Texas Hold Em or the H in Horse poker is probably the most popular game available. A Player starts with 2 cards and the dealer puts down 5 more. The player with the best 5 card combination wins. Omaha poker is where two people split the winnings, the hard with the highest and lowest cards. Razz is the R in horse and players receive 7 cards and the lowest or weakest hand wins the pot. Seven-card stud is a game where players have 3 cards to begin and will end up with 7 cards.

You have to be a smart bluffer in order to be a successful one. Going all in all the time with nothing in your hand will come back to haunt you sooner or later. Silly bluffing means being a careless poker player. These are the people who go all in or call a bet without even thinking about their move. A lot of beginners at poker are guilty of this and that’s ok. To become a smart and successful bluffer, you have to observe how the other players play and watch their body language. You have to keep a close eye on everyone in order to create a strategy which you can use in that game.

Horse poker is usually played at big tournaments where the 5 games are played one after the other. The games can be changed after every round or after every hour of playing poker for fun. This depends on the tournaments mechanics or what has been agreed upon by the poker players. Every time there is a game change, the dealer will announce the next game to everybody. This is so that none of the players gets mixed up and not understanding or knowing what game to they are playing.

These are just the basic rules of poker that you need to know before jumping in and joining a round or two. Be sure to practice and practice if you want to get better.
